CONFERENCE ON CYPRUS IS TAKING PLACE IN BRUSSLES TODAY

The Group of the European United Left-Nordic Green Left in the European Parliament together with the Greek Cypriot AKEL party organized a conference today.

The conference title ‘Cyprus and efforts to achieve a comprehensive solution’ is being held in Brussels.

New Cyprus Party Foreign Affairs Secretary Alpay Durduran and the United Cyprus Party Youth Branch’s Secretary General Abdullah Korkmazhan will be making a speech at the conference.

The leader of the Group of the European United Left-Nordic Green Left in the European Parliament Francis Wurtz, AKEL parliamentary Speaker Nicos Katsurides, and EDON General Secretary Kristos Kristofides will all make a speech during the conference.

The current negotiations process and brainstorming about how to find a comprehensive solution will be taken up during today’s conference.
During the first stage of the conference Alpay Durduran and Nicos Katsurides will be making a speech about the ‘latest situation in Cyprus and the intentions for a solution’.

Following this Abdullah Korkmazhan and Kristos Kristofides will be making a speech regarding ‘the new hopes for a solution and the youth’s role’.

Francis Wurts for his part will be making a speech titled ‘Cyprus isn’t only for Cypriots’ it’s also a benefit for Europeans’.
