can anyone recommend a good lawyer to deal with house sale??

hi all

as the title says, we are hoping to sell our villa in Cyprus (we are currently in the UK) and could really do with a good, honest, trustworth solicitor in cyprus to deal with all the legal work.

Can anyone recommend someone we could use as we dont want to use our developers "in house" lawyer this time round! lessons have been learnt!

thanks all

if you can receive pm's I'll forward you our lawyer in Nicosia. Excellent lawyer who deals mostly with property. A little pricey though

Good Lawyer eh?

Right having been bitten very hard the first time [legal process now pending] i can thoroughly recommend mr Stelios Stylianou in Nicosia together with his partner George Nicolaides.

They have been exemplary in sorting out our problems and price reflects professionalism and personal contact at all times in our book.

They listen, they act, they inform, they are available.

Good luck

Don't know where your villa is but you could be better off employing a lawyer from another town. That way you may avoid the everyone knows everyone else scenario

Everybodys looking for a good, honest, trustworthy solicitor in Cyprus, you've more chance of finding the Holy Grail or the Golden Fleece, mind you that's what you'll get fleeced.

We visited a lawyer in Paphos for a consultation this summer she quoted 50 - 100 Euros just to look (not write or alter) at our rental agreement. next day she demanded 600 Euros.
As I said fleeced

Right... so because you had a bad experience with a solicitor it follows that all or most solitcitors in Cyprus are not trustworthy?

Perhaps if you had asked around (like Hunneypie has had the sense to do) then you might not have been 'fleeced'.

I second Tims recommendation. I use Areti also and have done so in Cyprus and Greece, very competant, honest.
