Perverted Cyprus

Postby Sega » Mon Oct 29, 2007 1:40 pm

By the way I am GC, which means I can speak and understand GC's, this means I can understand everything said.

I lived in the UK most of my life where I worked, studied, eat and watch TV and the rest of it. Anyway I have been here now for a few months and it seems that everybody is adamant in taking me to prostitutes (literally) to have intercourse with them, their not joking either!! I even know people who go there openly as if it's a cafe.

Some guy even claimed that he would show me the ropes for free!! They think it to be an essential part of growing up. What's the deal? Not only that, but people have a slightly screwed up perception on what being gay is. They believe homosexuals are only of the receiving side of the act, which basically gives every person the right to be gay without being gay, if you get what I mean. It's like messed up!!

It seems to be a v.sex orientated place. Is this normal? Has anybody else noticed this? I know I cannot change this, but how do I know if somebody thinks life this, or is of that caliber of people.

Does anybody else have any stories or similar situations?

Yeah, I've heard that one :) Wasn't it like the Romans who also thought this way? Most amusing. Might also explain some of the clothes and haircuts of apparently straight men here :)

As an old friend of mine said back in Uni, doesn't matter if you pitch or catch, you are still a pillow biter. Although obviously not literally if you are a catcher. :) Obviously not perfect, but what do you expect with a beach party where all the blokes were playing beer can rugby (watch them explode!)...

Cheers

I think it was the ancient greeks who thought like that as well. Certainly is amusing.

No it's not normal and it's definately not the rule. It's the people you hang out with that are perverted, not Cyprus. Or as the Greek saying goes "Μ' όποιον δάσκαλο καθίσεις τέτοια γράμματα θα μάθεις"

Well said Alexiss.

I think these guys have nothing better to occupy their perverted minds with, and they have resorted to imagination and day dreaming.

There not actually my friends, I don't actually hang out with them. There always in the company of my friend, who happens not to be a pervert. But I understand what your saying. If what your saying is the case why are there so many capares (UK equivalent of brothles) in Cyprus? Just out of curiousity Alex11s, which city do you live in. It might be different in your city.

I do not live in Cyprus but I've spent many summer months in Paphos. I have many, many Cypriot friends and not one ever offered to take me to a "kampare". I do know, however, that prostitution is very profitable in Cyprus, but it's the same as all other mediterranean countries, where people drink less and cheat their wives more, compared to northern europeans
