Anyway, with just 36 hours before the polls open... and with the excitement reaching fever pitch!!!

Labour 38.8%
Conservative 30.8%
Lib Dems 22.2%
Others 8.2%

Assuming these were reflected in the actual vote on May 5th, and assuming that no tactical voting takes place (unlikely, but never mind), the parties would end up with the following number of seats (with change since 2001 election):

Labour 398 (-5 )
Conservative 160 (-5)
Lib Dems 59 (+8 )
Others 29 (+2)

Labour overall majority of 150.

I think the polls are way out... but in 60 hours from now, we'll know for sure...

a lot of people that i have been talking too recently all voted labour last time round say they will not vote for them this time but will either go conservative or lib dem, so these polls actually might be wishful thinking and we might be in for a surprise, fingers crossed.

It's the final day of campaigning and the excitement is literally killing me...

Here's the final update before the all important ultimate poll tomorrow... for those of you who can and will be going to the polling stations... happy voting!

Conservative 30.3%
Lib Dems 22.3%
Others 8.2%

Conservative 160 (-5)
Lib Dems 59 (+8 )
Others 26 (-1)

Labour overall majority of 156.

Final comment from me is that again, I think the polls are way out. I'm not sure where they're getting these figures from, but I don't think they reflect reality. I also think the marginal constituencies will be vital in determining the final outcome.

Labour 347 (-56)
Conservative 213 (+48 )
Lib Dems 60 (+9)
Others 26 (-1)

Labour overall majority of 48.

Remember, polls open at 7:30am BST and election coverage begins when the polls close at 10pm (I'd suggest watching BBC coverage, tends to be more heavyweight than ITV's lite-coverage). For those of you outside the UK, you may be able to watch via the BBC news website.
