New Govt

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Get Real! » Tue Feb 19, 2008 10:46 am

The EOKA B Greek nationalist extremists under the guise of DISY would sell their mother for a Euro and Cyprus for even less. They have a long history of rooting Cyprus repeatedly with tragic events such as the coup of 74 and the many Clerides debacles including the notorious Anan Plan.

On the other hand, the communists love their country but carry the soviet stigma which doesn’t go down well with Europe.

With the center out of office Cyprus is screwed EITHER WAY so the only option now is to pick the side that can cause the LEAST amount of damage and that is Christofias.

Come Sunday, anyone who votes for Kashoulides votes for the DESTRUCTION OF CYPRUS, make no mistake...

GR, I would tend to agree with you on this, but, I worry even more that with a commi in charge, this will give the US/UK governments more reason to F us by causing further difficulties with Turkey.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were to deliberately recognise the TRNC just to piss us off like the did with Macedonia and greece when Greece pissed them off.

UK/US cannot afford to have Russia anywhere near Cyprus and the whole thing would then become more military orientated than politically orientated.

So, the choice is the frying pan or the fire as I see it. There is no choice sadly.

At least with TPap we knew that devil, with these two knieving gits we just don't know what our fate will be.

Come back tassos.

Tess

I dont think he was a communist, just that he knew on what side his bread was buttered. It was political expediency.

The centre is not going to be out of office. By my count Deko decides who the next president is. WIth Markos Kyprianou as foreign minister and a parliament requiring cooperation to pass anything to do with the army or the CYprob then you've got as close to a pan-national govt as you can get. The only ones excluded will be AKEL.

FYI If Christofias gets voted one of the first bthings he sai he'll do is raise the corporate tax to the levels of other EU countries. That means from 10% to 30%. Oh well, at least our airports will be busy (the departure part)

In my opinion what you mention above is an insult to the supporters of DISY and those non supporters who voted for Kasoulides.
Don't forget that he was an outsider and he ended up 1st with 33.5% .

As for Anan Plan, Clerides delivered AP 3 which was not accepted by TR and Pap led it to AP 5 which made TR more than happy.
Therefore, the conclusions are yours.

...and WE didn't, WE don't and we won't sell our mother or our country for a Euro.

Its ok Rafaella. DEKO is the only party able to govern this island and we should know it. Start from Piitokopitis with his 10m EUro land fortune in Paphos which will be diluted in case of a reunification to Vasilis Palmas (married to Presidents niece, govt spokesman for a few more days) who has more fingers in more dirty pies than Oswald the Octopus.

They are the honourable ones. Instead of asking themselves WHY have people like Rafaella and DT turned away from Papadopoulos they are asking HOW DARE....people like Rafaella and DT turn away from Papadopoulos.

Cyprus has always had a surplus of fools who never learn from the past… that is a well known fact. DISY do a fine job of insulting themselves… all you had to do was observe Sunday’s celebrations where not a single RoC flag was hoisted. What a disgrace!

Pappadopoulos INHERITED Clerides’ treasonous scheme but managed to save the Republic from certain death.

...and WE didn't, WE don't and we won't sell our mother or our country for a Euro.

If Clerides’ Anglo-American collaboration in the form of the Annan Plan is not enough evidence for you then I don’t know what is.
