Why isn't he President of Cyprus?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

As one who distances himself from the political parties of Cyprus , I will agree with Bananiot that the statement made by this politician is of profound importance. Having said this I will have to admit that I know absolutely nothing about Anastasiades , I' m primarily concerned with Cypriot politicians as well as all Cypriots who state their case for a united Cyprus and an end to mistrust and hatred , so I applaud the statement by this politician.

sorry turkish - cypriot ....... I actually did not realize the issues faced by Turkish speaking Cypriots in Cyprus' north, unitl I joint the forum and since then I have been interested in following this topic up. You are right my coment may be a little insensitive. I do apologise. Though if the media and other reports are correct I really do believe that Turkish Speaking Cypriots need to do something about it before they do really become a a small population within the trnc hence even smaller within the RoC for those who will choose to move. I also feel that the RoC governement ought toact quickly to represent the rights of turkish speaking cypriots within the realms of UN and international community, guess the RoC gov would need their support in doing so. I believe the population statistics are concerning on many levels, this is a polpulation of Cyprus that is experiencing real issues and no one seems to be doing anything about it. I studied Anthropology and have looked at culture and people and this is particularly interesting to watch though I personally feel helpless and sometime meddling is it my concern as a greek speaking cypriot or am am being paternalistic? or ...... I guess the answer will come to me when it does.

Papadopoulos is absolutely right. There is a system there that the superiors in the Government should grade their stuff for promotion purposes. It is absolutely unacceptable for all of them to be graded "EXCELLENT". This practice that is going on for years just underlines a gang mentality among public servants that aims exclussively on the use of RUSFETI for promotion purposes instead of MERIT.

He is the one who sued the RoC at the EU for presumably applying a reign of terror at the referendum Miltiades.

Yet lately he talks so sweat, an unsuspected person may even believe him.(Btw Disy is the party that housed the Eoka Bs and even put known Eoka Bs in Ministerial positions. Anastasiades and his party is the one who called back the just 62 policemen who were fired because of the coup. Etc etc etc.)

I am surprised Bananiot sides with them.

Stay away.

Does anyone remember when he hired a comminications specialist to teach him manners? From one day to another he became an innocent lamb. It was funny hearing the lamb more often than not losing its temper and roaring

I still...remember the ashtray jokes about him!!!!

The bit that reads... (ΑΝΕΞΑΡΤΗΤΗ ΚΙΝΗΣΗ) (independant movement) doesn't help much!

Please help the hundreds of floating voters in here choose direction...
