Is He a Moron or What?????

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Is He a Moron or What?????

Postby humanist » Fri Mar 16, 2007 12:10 am

Turkish Cypriots and Turkey rebuffed these demands for a crossing point to open in the heart of the world's last divided capital.
Such a stance has dampened hopes in the international community for some movement on the Cyprus problem.
Nicosia argues that having troops in the area poses a security risk for those criss-crossing the pedestrianised shopping street.
"I will never accept to bargain over the demilitarisation of the city. Why should I?" said Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat.
He said demilitarisation was an issue to be handled as part of a comprehensive solution to the long-running division of the island.
Priority

I really don't know what games Turkey and the Turkish Speaking leadership are playing..... fuck the troops off and get this show happenning ,

Why should I says Talat. Becuase if you do, your people will benefit socially and financially you bloody moron thats why. Where do these incompettent twits come from anyway and who the hell votes for them. Two idiots one on either side, how is Cyprus ever going to reach peace.

The EU is also not doing enough, they really ought to draw the line, They need to make a decision as to whether they want an occupation force of European territory in the EU. They need to take a stand and be clear that unless turkey withdraws fully from Cyprus there is no entry into the EU. Then see the Cyprus problem solved.

Humanist,

With Cyprus's illegal entry into the EU you can forget any solution in the very near future. The RoC lied and cheated its way into the EU. The EU are now aware of this but of course its too late.

Talat can hardly be blamed for the dubious politics of Mr Papadopulos. Get rid of him and see how quick a settlement will be reached.

wrong mrfromng, cyprus' legal entry to the EU was not tied to accepting an unacceptable solution.
talat can be blamed for being a softy who bends over to take a shafting from turkey. Tpaps a tosser but at least he's his own tosser.

mrfromng I strongly disagree, it takes two to tango and play hide and seek.

Secondly it is a stupid response, absolutely absurd and pathetic from a leader. I would have accepted a response on the lines of ..... I am not going to agree with the removal of troops from the area because I am concerned about the safety of my peopl. now that holds some validity.

Talat's response "why should" is nothing more thatn a child's response. Further, he is not assisting in the development of bizonal/ bicommunal relationship and hence deters, unification.

Shahmaran, I I appreciate that we are no wher a peaceful solution, what I said is that it further deters any possibility for peaceful solution, if you are happy with the way things are and have been for the last 32 and that turkish speaking cypriots have benefited a great deal out of this whole affair, then be comfortable within yourself that things are okay they are, there are no problems and that humanist is a clown, who wants something different to what has been on offer for the past 32 years.

Gav .... no one has stolen humanists login password :) :) :)

Humanist just simply cannot stand idiots at times, Talats words above are stupid and childish, I am sorry I could not be politically correct because he is a pathetic excuse for a human being let alone a leader, man if he was my leader I would run a million miles. "Why should I"? is that a response from a so called President or a twat. By his words he appears to forget that he is a representative of his people and his people will benefit in many different ways by oppenning the Ledra Street passing. Firstly the immediate shop owners will benefit, secondly it will allow people to cross more easily from one side to the other building confidence, trust adn good relationships.

I am sorry I lost my temper, with the moron. he is bloody Moron. I am sure though he has it all goodprobably owns business, lives in a nice part of town, has a mansion to go with it, so who cares about a poor bastard and his family who had to put up with 32 years of economic isolation because Mr talat is sitting comfortable in his offices pretending to be a president. Politicians piuss me off.

I have to say I agree with humanist. Both these leaders SUCK! If they were worth the "leader" or even "president" titles then they would be doing what they could to try and solve the problems in our country. I think they're a disgrace to their people and proffessions. I can't believe that to this day they won't meet up and talk. They're acting like Hollywood actresses more then they are as "leaders" of a country, its their duty to look after the well being of their people what is their problem? Why can't they just do their jobs for once?

I remember when people wanted Denktas out they went all out and went on that walk, thousands of them. They even published a letter on front of Kibris newspaper begging him to resign. People of Cyprus need to unite and do the same but this time to get both of these wankers out because I'm sick of reading about them and trying to understand/justify their motives. There just is NO excuse for how they're behaving, they need to get their act's together and for once do something worthwhile for their people and country.

It's alright for the "leaders" they probably have everything they want in life, which is why they feel no way about using us like pawns..... :sniper: T-Papa & Talat

HELLO how can they suck if one of them said NO to that ridiculous thing made in UK/USA named Annan plan. (Bare in mind that Annan had nothing to do with it)

humanist

Where did this quote come from? I have googled various parts of it, and looked at Talat's statements on-line, and can find nothing like it. The closest I can find is:

In a statement to Turkish Cypriot press, Talat called on the (GC)government to stop raising preconditions on the opening of Ledra Street. “Let’s first open this gate and then we may consider the others.”

reported in today's Cyprus Mail with reference to the GC side to open a Kato Pyrgos-Limnitis crossing. A cynic might think that they were doing this to divert attention from Ledra Street.

If humanist quotes correctly then Talat is a fool as the opening of the Ledra Street crossing is a win-win situation. Papadopoulos has been a fool for a long time. He has shown all the signs of not wanting to open the crossing for months until he was being made to look really foolish by having a propaganda stand on his side of the wall, and no wall on the TC side.
