OK VP, what is it that you really want.? I know it's not an apology, which I still don't know for what reason. Do you want to have those with opposing views with yours into some kind of submission or what.? Do you want to "use" the apology as a "stick", so that you can say what you want to say with impunity, or what.? You're not a "simple man" to just apologise to, and not be turned around or put some kind of a "spin" into it. So come clean on this one VP. Despite of all this, I will apologise, if you tell me, for what is it, that I'm apologising for, since I don't know any "pack" that you are talking about. As far as the "kill the bastard" with the "kill instinct", is just what happens in any heated arguments. Do you remember when you, Zan and one or two others were "ganging" on me one evening, in which Bir called it an "open season on Kikapu".. Should I now call you all "blood thirsty vampires".!!!
There is no hidden agenda when accepting your apology for me it reveals that what you said was said in anger or bad judgement and that you can rise above the past wipe the slate clean and start again. You are the only person that has really addressed my request which I thank you for but this goes to show your character has depth and you can take steps to move forward. An apology would mean a great deal to me personally because I am 100% not what everyone "the pack" are accusing me off and do you know how stupid more extreme posters like miltiades, pyro and pits look like from my side of this screen.
As for taking pyros test, due to his past postings about me he is someone I would not trust or want to share anythng with let alone a country. You have to value someone to take time to respond to their posts, well I dont value pyro or pits until time when they apologise and accept that they are totally wrong about me and that everyone has the right to air their views without being persecuted.
An apology would go a long way to making peace between us and help us to move forward but my opinions are my own and if you and other label them propaganda becuse they are close to the official line then thats you not dealing with my point of view because the official line is also a point of view according to the peoples elected leaders and using the propaganda excuse is the easy way out.
VP,
I'm a great believer in restoring relationships and burying old hatchets. I have had some unpleasant memories when I was a young boy at the beginning of the 1963 problems with our GC's countrymen, and I have moved on long time ago, and today, I do not hold any resentment towards anyone from then or now in the GC community. I'm a very compassionate and very forgiven person, and when someone asks for forgiveness for something they may have done, I give it, and have also asked others in the past to do the same. So, when you ask for an apology from me that will mean a great deal to you personally, I can not refuse it VP.
Despite all our disagreement on the forum, which we do not see everything eye to eye, here's my apology to you from one TC to another, from one Cypriot to another, and from one Human being to another, that I apologise for the unsavory name callings and insults that I have hurled them at you. At times of madness and intensity, people have done much worse, but does not excuse my actions any less. If words of insults and name callings can hurt a persons feelings, then I'm sure words of apology can help a person feel better also.
If in the future I accuse you of using propaganda, then don't take it personally VP, since you said, it is the official policy of the "TRNC", that you're just repeating. This way my insults and name callings are directed to the "TRNC" officials, and stay out of it. If you get too close to the official line, then I'm afraid, you will not be able to escape the "guilty by association" label. It is only Human Nature.
To All Members,
As of tomorrow, I will be Cyprus bound and will not be making any more posts until I return. I will be looking into the forum now and again, when I have the time and Internet Access, just to see what's going on and also to check my PM's, but I will not be posting.
I've had some "certain"concerns recently of making the trip to Cyprus, first time in 43 years, so as a precaution, today I have contacted the American and British Embassy, since I'm an American and British, as well as being a Cypriot, of my travels to Cyprus. I was "assured" of my particular concerns, and they will be available to assist in any way that they can, including by working with the Cypriot authorities.
Wish me luck.
