Well I don't have a problem with my identity, I'm happy with it thanks. Calling myself a Turkish Cypriot doesn't do anything to twist my mind to thinking badly of the Greek Cypriots or anyone else for that matter, and personally I don't see the difference in "Turkish speaking Cypriot" and "Turkish Cypriot". Adding the "speaking" makes no difference in my opinion.
It's like getting the Pakistani people in England to call themselves "Pakistani speaking British" do you think that would make any difference to some peoples attitudes towards them? No. Same with Cyprus mate, it would be better to just accept eachother the way we are. I'm not saying we shouldn't be Cypriot but I think at this day and age we can at least learn to respect everyone. I get where you're coming from but I don't think you're thinking it through properly.
When Cyprus is united and people start to mix and live together again and have no problems with eachother ONLY THEN will what you want slowly happen. This is not the solution to the Cyprus problem though, but thats just my opinion.
