This sounds good but then I also heard Tesco were building in Zakaki! Who knows!

Super shopping mall for Limassol

Limassol will have its own super-modern CYP35m shopping mall in two years with the Tiffany shopping mall in two years with the Tiffany shopping mall currently under construction in the coastal town's city centre.

Tiffany Investments Ltd is a group of international and local investors who got together to establish a world-class shopping mall for the first time in Limassol. The majority of the shares belong to a European company registered in Holland and the rest are local.

The centre will combine shopping, entertainment, leisure, culture facilities under one roof. It is located in Zakaki, 10 minutes from Limassol town centre. The new mall will officially open in August 2008 and will house top international fashion brands, electronic goods, cosmetics, home accessories, jewellery, toys, gifts, café, bars, a web café, fast food and family restaurants, an ice skating ring and an amusement park and arcade.

There are also plans for a beauty and hairdressing salon, mini market, a bank, patisserie, a pharmacy, florist and a newsstand. All shops will not be for sale but licensed for retailers and almost half of them are booked by international retailers, the company said. The new mall will offer easy access and free parking for 1,300 cars. It will also offer childcare and nanny service for shoppers.

Hi Niki,

Don't get too excited, I believe I know where this is going to be in Zakaki as I viewed a lump of land behind, I think its called, Play Planet last year and has since been sold and fenced off. Given the large parking and number of outlets quoted (think I saw the report in the Cyprus Weekly) they are going to have to dig a very big hole to fit it all in over several sub terrainean and above ground floors. As for easy access if they are working on the 'easy access to the new Carrefour' model then it will be just as bad. This site has also been linked to Tesco and Lidl in the recent past so who knows, after all only last year Tesco were supposed to be taking over Orphanides!! Still at least the rumour factory is working well and who knows it may actually happen.
