in any case, had you adopted a kid wouldnt you at some point tell it the truth ?

Cypez,

An adopted child at the age of 5, whose mother tongue is different remembers and KNOWS what he is...

If the child is still alive then there are only a few possibilities why he doesn't show up.

What do you think Pyro, you think he's still alive?

I really hope they find him, and I really hope he's been well looked after...

If this child is still alive and had been "forced adopted" by a Turkish Family in Turkey, where the child's identity, language, custom, religion, ans Family had been stolen from him, and in return may have been brainwashed to hate his own people, and no matter how well he had been looked after by his alien adapted Turkish Family, had to be crime against basic Human Dignity and Justice, and will continue to be the case, until he is told the truth, and returns to his own people.

I can not envision a worse evil that can be committed by anyone, as the case was against the boy and his Birth Family.

I know Kikapu I agree, lets just hope that they find him and return him to his poor mum.

Return him to his mum? I hope he is well looked after? Guyw, if the man is alive, then he is 38 now. Let's hope he has been allowd to have a decent even if he was raised as a Turk.

I have just watched the whole story of this unlucky lady on Greek-Alter Tv Chanel.. it was very sad...
I dont believe she will ever receive any reply from Turkish army...it seemed a bit mysterious in Turkish side..
It was also very touching to see the mothers from both side who shares the same pain hugging each other..
I suggest every1 in the forum to watch it if possible on net..
the program is called Zougla and the journalist is Triantafilopoulos

Can you elaborate Karma? Is the army doing anything to help this woman or are they just trying to sweep it under the carpet?

There was once an Ottoman tradition which lasted for centuries:
take Christian children when they were too young to remember their identity, convert them to Islam, raise them as soldiers, and send them back to conquer or rule their old countries. They became the feared Jannissaries, and they were largely responsible for the rise and the fall of the Ottoman empire...It looks as if this little boy has become a modern day jannissary...

first i didnt say that he should "return to his mum". he just has a right to know, and so does his real mother.

It looks as if this little boy has become a modern day jannissary... Crying or Very sad

you are exaggurating bir. if they boy is indeed alive and adopted by someone, that doesnt mean that this is an official state policy. it could be that the people who adopted him saved his life...it could be that they dont tell him out of fear of losing him, if he ever learns the truth.

this is way more human story than it is political
