Sadik, u have no idea how languages work, there r many French words in Arabiq, there r many Turkish words in Greek, there r many Persian words in Turkish, there r many English words in Urdu....
SO???
Turks have no idea about Arabiq language coz they speak Turkish...

and Turkish is similar to Finnish&Hungarian which is Ural-Altay family..
no similarity with Arabiq syntax...for ur info :wink:

I think it should be Hellim AND Halloumi, however I'm not sure if the cheese is entirely from Arabic origin, have you ever tried half cooked unsalted halloumi? I can swear it is identical to mozzarella...

I think it is fascinating to observe the evolution of cuisine and language along with our biology and psychology throughout the globe, its crazy!

1)What does halloumi or hallouma mean in Arabic?
2)What is the exact word the Arabs use for cheese.

what the problem if your language contains many words from arabic aorigin?

dont forget that there are some ereas in turkey speaking arabic
as 'antakia'

1- halloumi in syrian arabic means cheese as cypriot one, in morocco means a name of a man derived from the verb 'halima' which means dream..''dreamer man'' 'hallouma' is the female femine name.the dreamer woman.

2- cheese in official arabic is ''joubn'' or 'k'ichda'
**but you can find other names in colloqual arabic in different regions and countries
