Greek court bans Muslim association for calling itself "

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

No, not a share in the Government. Just the right to describe themselves as Turks is asked for. What's your problem with that?

All I'm saying is that the Muslim population in W. Thrace has been there for as long as TCs have been in Cyprus (if not longer).

Since this is the case why are you not advocating for equal gov't represenation or self-autonomy for this group?

"The fact that so many TCs and GCs died in in 1960s and 1970s, particularly in 1974, the fact that many GCs and TCs became refugees, the fact that GC refugees are denied to enjoy their properties in the north, the fact that the RoC is not bicommunal anymore...etc, all these are illegal and wrong"

But the invasion and occupation was and is illegal too, right?

I have no connection with western Thrace other than a shared language and identity with some of the population. I'm not advocating nothing they do not want for themselves. As far as I know they just want to call themselves Turkish and that doesn't seem an unreasonable demand to most people. Can you accept that?

As a matter of principle there shouldn't be any problem with that. But as we already said, Turks have been treating us in an unfair way. An example is Cyprus were the 18% of TCs demands 50% power and 30% land.

Personally I think we are too soft towards Turks in general. We should make it clear that what we are after is democracy, human rights and respect for each other. If Turkey wants to take simultaneous steps to achieve these things then great. If not, then not only we should not make such steps unilaterally, but we should make several steps backwards to match the treatment we receive from Turkey, because as I said we are way to soft tawords Turkey compared with how Turks treat us.
