Before you needed 100s of pounds to get 4Mbits now you can get it with a usual home package. I think thats good news. Its the case of the half full or half empty glass. Prices should come down if that is possible since there are more than one competing companies now.

I get a nice 10 meg download and 1/3meg upload on cable here in the UK for £35 (approx £42 Cypriot) a month, but to be honest, whats speed?? i certainly do not use it to its full potential, so a 1 meg connection when i move over to Cyprus in August is going to be fine for me

Take a chill pill and stop worrying about speed :lol:

Tell me something, is there a connection cost when signing upto Broadband in Cyprus? There is no connection cost in UK. You just pay monthly - job done!
