Ledra wall is being knocked down!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Show me any government with a halo.

If you want to see a halo from the RoC - god knows what we would ask to see from Turkey!

No ones saying Turkey was blameless...its you who are adamant the RoC had nothing to do with the Cyprus problem .

As I said in my previous post any step to the right direction however small it may be is a step forward. The demolishion of the wall at Ledra street was certainly a step forward.

The next step need to be the withdrawal of both the Turkish and the RoC armies from the area. The RoC has confirmed and actually asked that this happens asap. What it remain to be seen is whether the Turkish army will allow the crossing to open by withdrawing from the area. I hope that the TC side can make this happen and demand this from Turkey, however, the first indications from the press in Turkey are not encouraging. Let's hope that tpap is not proven true in what he has been saying about the wall just being an excuse from the TC side in order not to withdraw the army from the area.

really how come?

slow for starters, memory hungry, unstable, not compatible with a lot of software and packed with too much razza mattaz.

get real, lets say the first service pack won't come about for another 12 months or so. It took xp about 12 months fo the first service pack and that came about from win NT, a know and reliable engine. Vista is a new beast and the service packs won't come around for a long time to come.

i can safely say, a data managers nightmare.

so let me please ask one thing to you and Get Real! since you guys are experts...

i definately need to buy an operating system for my DAW pretty soon, so considering Vista is as bad as you say it is for now, is it still worth buying XP, i mean will i not have to upgrade to Vista eventually anyways? i dont really want to buy another copy of windows in a few months, so what do you think is the best solution?

Shah, nothing says you will HAVE to upgrade to vista any time soon. Remember the fiasco with windows ME? How long was that on the market for? LOL
I think it is worth buying XP. For anyone to know whether vista is here to stay, and be stable for that matter, it will take a while. I am still using Xp on mine and I am planning on giving vista about a year or 6 months to stabilize itself before I even THINK about changing my OS.

No, I wouldn't *buy* XP anymore, can't you get hold of a XP SP/2 cd and install? Keep in mind that apart from having its bugs ironed out, Vista's price is bound to fall a year from now.
