A festival featuring activities aiming to promote the culture of Northern Cyprus is to begin today in London.
The festival will be inaugurated by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer. Soyer will open the painting and cartoon exhibition at Abney Public Hall. Soyer is expected to deliver a speech and address the public at the exhibition.
Paintings by Turkish Cypriot painters Nilgun Guney, Asik Mene, Alper Susuzlu and Sumer Erek and the cartoons from the Northern Cyprus Caricaturists Association will be on display for a week.
A comedy entitled "Havasu Garayanni" will be staged by the Apler Susuzlu Theater Co. on Friday.
After the Umut Albayrak Orchestra's concert, with a repertoire consisting of Turkish and Greek songs, at the St. Monica Hall on Saturday, the Lefkosa Youth Center Folk Dance group will perform on Sunday. During the event, as well as music and dance, traditional crafts and a selection of Northern Cyprus cuisine will be on offer to guests.

Turkish cypriot dancers, painters, writers, poets and speakers. Sports persons, photographers, etc etc. Ones that are not allowed to shine in the RoC.

unfortunately due to our exposure with international football i wouldn't think any tc players would be good enough to get in the national team right now. That doesn't mean there haven't been tc players that played for gc teams such as Nea Salamina who had 2 players but they got threatened by the then denktash govt to pack it in.
I think we're also sending a tc wrestler to the next olympics. Listen if there's anyone good enough then its not going to be the GC's stopping them from playing with the national teams but the unwillingness to play under the national team of the TC's.

Agree to a point. That is what I was trying to get you to say. We have a catch22 situation so we can only promote our culture, whether it is different or not, our selves.

So is this a festival to promote a pseudo state in the north or promote Turkish Cypriot culture.
Zan, your pettyness and desperation for blaming the RoC of being anti-Turkish Cypriot hit an all time low (or should it be high) in this post.
