How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby reportfromcyprus » Fri Mar 09, 2007 10:14 am

VP, don't leave the forum, how are we going to know what the specials are at Orphanides?

Come on, silly, lighten up.

I acknowledge my part in VPs demise, and to be honest I can't say I regret my actions.Listen to my logic: If VP was one individual with no links to the TRNC Information Office,we could easily say from the volume of his/her posts and the length of time he/she was a member,THAT HE WAS AN ADDICT OF THIS FORUM...

And as we all know, addicts cannot walk away from their addictions just at the snap of a finger or two.

So,if VP was not a TRNC paid propagandist he/she will not be able to walk away from this forum. If she/he can walk away that easily then, for my money,he/she was a paid agent of the TRNC propaganda machine...End of story.  :) :)

The Information office will now take a rest and regroup. They actualy told all of us way back when the avatar was changed to the current one that they were a team ! I disagree with sentiments expressed by some that the repetitive VP will be missed. The posts never once contained one iota of conciliatory input , the focus was on the present situation becoming permanent with out a solution leading to a united Cyprus. This is indeed worrying since it appears that the official policy of Mr Talat , as handed down by Turkey , is the permanent partition / annexation of Cyprus to Turkey. This is a policy of the "TRNC" reinvigorated by the rejection of the Annan Plan and the blind belief that it is now a matter of a very short time before recognition by the international community. The hopes were raised when Condoleeza Rice visited Turkey last year. The leadership began to pop the champagne in readiness for a formal USA recognition , knowing fully well that such recognition would herald the end of isolation and the beginning of a new era. The application to the British Government and the subsequent rejection of their request for direct flights was another massive disappointment .
I do not rejoice for one second at the isolation of a section of our Cypriot people but take comfort in the prospects for a solution unifying our island and our people .

You could not possibly be more wrong. Talat was voted in because he is for unification it has always been the RoC that will not talk to him and only make impossible demands. You have admitted that your side has not done anything to help the TRNC in any way. What the lifting of the embargoes will do is to force your intransigent leaders to realise that they cannot have it all their own way and then maybe a solution can be found. Talats stand is against the surrender of the Turkish people to a man who calls some of his own people "Turk lovers". If you are not a lover then what are you? As the EOKA terrorist turned leader still holds us in contempt then why should we not pay him the same respects. You seem to think in that closed mind of yours that the facts and figures presented by the RoC are the real fact and figures and do not even question these so called facts. There is a massive difference in the land claimed by he RoC and the TRNC and that is the biggest issue yet. If you just want us to accept your figures then we expect the same from you.

You are not even consistent in your bigotry. You sing like a bird sometimes, and expect us to swallow your compassionate ways then you screech at us like a buzzard waiting to pick our bones clean. Maybe you too are more than one person that is/are coming out of your shell.

Maybe it was a condition from our side that VP disappears and we'll knock down the ledra street wall.

If Paaul12 goes as well we'll build a monument to ataturk for you guys.
