What a joke! Tell me it isn't true

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

What a joke! Tell me it isn't true

A Turkish court has ordered local ISPs to block access to the Youtube video sharing service in response to the publication of a video that mocked the nation's founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

The video displayed pictures of the founding father of the modern Turkish with insults written over it in English.

Youtube has since removed the video and the ban on the website has reportedly been lifted. It's unclear when access to Youtube will be restored.

The video was reportedly uploaded by an ethnic Greek from Cyprus. Turkey and Greece have been battling each other over control of the island. Turkey in 1974 invaded the territory and created the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus that is only recognized by Turkey.

Turkey has an uneasy relation with freedom of speech. The nation's penal code makes it a crime to insult "Turkishness". Courts routinely press charges against writers and journalists for mentioning the Armenian genocide of 1915-1917. Turkey denies that a coordinated ethnic cleansing ever occurred and blames the deaths on collateral war and natural circumstances.

This has been posted already but never mind. It seems that it is true but it is only as stupid as Greece banning the use of the Word Turkish in some institutions.

I would also like to find out if there are any Turkish YOUTUBES on the horizon.

How can you ban the word Turkish? What do they say when they refer to something that comes from Turkey?

Not in Greece though Pits.

I do like the idea that god is sitting by a conveyor belt blessing Kit Kats as they go by. I think he might be sending out a few CVs.

but we dont have yogurt turkish style, what we have either plain yogurt, fruity yogurts, yum, and greek style yogurt. we don't prohibit the use of the name in any way, its business as usual. if there a quid to be made well anything goes. all it will take is a turkish entrepreneur to start something and bingo you can have your own name.

as far as the kit kats i am not sure how they do it, but i am glad you see the ridicousness of the whole thing.

fuck man if it tastes good i don't really give a continental where its made, i am byuing it.
yeah i am bot sure how the bless the kit kats,
