Cat5e Installers

Postby Digital Homes » Wed Mar 07, 2007 11:35 pm

Hi Forum

I am new to this site.

I would be interested to hear from anyone, preferably British, who has experience in cat5e. If you reside in Cyprus I would be very interested in hearing from you.

Regards

Please expand why, given that I can already get 1000Mbs with CAT-5 E.

Ray, whilst Cat6 is undoubtedly better, and can cope with far higher frequency data, why do you recommend he does Cat6 unless you know the purpose of his install?

If its simple video streaming or porting an internet connection around a house, Cat5 is pretty adequate, if he is gonna be using high speed data all around the house then maybe Cat6 is a better option, or even 6a/7
