Property Sale - Private or Estate Agent?

Postby Samuel » Wed Mar 07, 2007 12:13 pm

Due to private circumstances we intend to sell our property. Which way would you recommend me: private sale or an Estate Agent? What do you know about "Paphosfinder", "BuySell", "Aresti" for the Paphos-Area - are they reliabel and how much would it cost me?

samuel,
all reputable estate agents in cyprus that are government regulated have,by law, to charge 5%plus vat @17.5%.There are private web sites that will do it for you but you have to pick and choose.I reccomend you maybe advertise in the Cyprus weekly newspaper if you have someone in Cyprus to do any viewings etc for you.Hope this helps you.

It is normally 5% + 15% VAT, but you can set their Fees, if a registered Esate Agent, against your Capital Gains Tax liability.
