Do you hate Greece?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I think I speak for most Greek Cypriots when I say, we don't hate Greece, but we are an independent country just trying to bring our people together...
I have not insulted Greek Cypriots or Cyprus, but there is at least one insulting post to Greece in every single thread in this forum. Noone is questioning Cyprus's independence, maybe there are some who miss the british rule but fortunately they are too few to matter. It's also wrong what some believe, that Cyprus would be where she is today without Greece. I'm sorry, but Cyprus would not only be out of the EU, she would not exist as a state if she was left alone to face an enemy like Turkey

blah, blah, blah..

You are now officially the biggest ELLINARAS that has visited this forum.
Because of attidutes like yours Cyprus is facing the enemy EVERY DAY, you only have to face north and see the turkish flag on Pentadaktylos.

Now could you do us all a favour and move to another forum?

consider this scenario. After the founding of the roc greece declares herself neutral to Cyprus. Makarios undermines the very state he is the head of. The known incidents between gcs and tcs take place. Reaching 1974, greece remains neutral and there is no coup. What would happen then? Would Turkey stay out of Cyprus?

Thank God the average Cypriot does not share your mentality. Face it, Greek Cypriots are as Greek as us, you can see it anywhere you go. They watch Greek tv, they support Greek football clubs and they celebrate every Greek achievement like the rest of the Greeks. They listen to Greek music, both traditional and contemporary, they use the same schoolbooks, have the same national holidays, study in Greek universities, learn and are proud of the Greek history and are offended when people like you spit their venom. You are unwanted amongst your very countrymen, I visit Cyprus at least 4 times a year and, apart from the driving, I feel right at home. Where is your home, I wonder?

Technically she would be an oddity and your grandfather a most unfortunate man. :(

If you are stupid enough to blame Greece for the Turkish flag you are certainly stupid enough to go tell the same thing to your countrymen in Cyprus. Please do, I'll come visit you at the hospital.

You are obviously unaware of the meaning of the word "logic". No you moron, what I've said countless times is that the Junta was criminal beyond forgiving, but also that the invasion was inevitable. If Turkey "intervened" to "save" the Republic why didn't she just restore Makarios? It takes someone as stupid as you to believe that Turkey decided to split Cyprus in two the day the Greek Junta with its Cypriot collaborators overthrew Makarios and not before

Goodnight.

Greece is defending both Greece and Cyprus just fine, the fact that Turkish is not your mother language if proof enough

Yeah I've never heard that before... all you and others do in this forum is talk about what-ifs, yet you HAVE to seek refuge to your grandmothers testicles when faced with a very valid question... If the coup hadn't happened, would Turkey invade?
