Avgolimoni soup and kleftiko. Not so keen on the sweet stuff though (except possibly walnut glyco, which stands out on its own)

AugolEmoni soup and traxanas soup...consider our traditional soup! Ravioles are the traditional pasta!

Kleftiko, tavas, afelia, village sausages, souvla, meat meze, fish meze are the best things in the Cypriot cuisine. Especially if are combine with good company and wine. Koupepia and anthoi are made with minced meat.

But we have really good vegetable meze as well like mushrooms, stroufouthkia and agrelia (if anyone know the English translation please correct it    ), lovely pitta bread cooked with olive oil and oregon, garlic bread, fried onions with a nice recipe, halloumi and olives...

Mahalepi, daxtila (finger sweet), soutzoukos, bourekia, gluko tou koutaliou (sweet stuff) from almond, water melon, apricot, walnut, cherry, quince or grapes etc and if find really good ones you will not regret that you ever try one of them!!!

If anyone is close to Southampton this Friday you are more than welcome to come and taste my cooking ability and some of the Cypriot food!!
