hi there
i am going with my boyfriend to visit LARNACA in next week. i would like to ask what are the prices there? how much money i should take with me for 4 days. i am staying at cactus hotel so guess it is near to the center and to the sea so i don't have to take a lot of taxi.

Hello,
You go to eat Kleftiko which is very nice £5.50 with rice and stuff £10 each total. 1 day fish meze in vanisuliz with a half bottle 31 brandy for 2 people £40
I think if you bring £400 is more then enough because not much to do in Larnaca .
Try Kyrenia . You will love it . Clubbing and bars are beautifull. For help you dont hestiate to contact me.

The Cactus was the first hotel we ever stayed at in Cyprus. Its a good location. About a 20-30 minute walk to the town centre (maybe not with a hangover at mid day though!)

Larnaca is a really lovely town - very cosmopolitan with plenty of clothes shops for the ladies (and pubs for the lads!)

When you walk to the town centre you can either walk along the coastal road (which basically perches on the sea) or as we do, walk on the inner roads through side streets - I believe this is the old Turkish Cypriot quarter - very peaceful and pleasant.

Shop around for good deals on food - head away from the main road.

You should get a meal for 2 in the evening for £20Cyp including wine if you shop around.

There are some good touristy websites with reviews of Larnaca, which I would mention but not sure rules allow.

You can get by on as little as £30 a day each, but I'd suggest you budget for £100 a day for the pair of you.

It depends on where you had been on holidays and how much money you usually spend on holidays etc

Roughly multiply by 2.

BTW I think it's your boyfriend task, isn't it?

Cactus is right on the edge of Larnaca, nowhere near the center. I just love how Travel Agents sell their packages...
Also in low season is know to be a part time bordelllo since there are cabarets near by. The only "prime" location is fishing port... no suitable beach, not even a sea view. Very depressing, used to live with my ex-girlfriend right in the building next to it.
