how do you guys deal with these scumbags!

i spent the day at Paphos harbour last week and i feel so bad for these people who fall for the "bottle of wine ohhh a free holiday act"

one guy pestered me 3 times with a girl on his moped
it ended up with me telling him to go away with some nice 4 letter words
and he eventually did!
or was it when i threatened to chuck his moped in the sea with him still on it??!!

shouldnt this be against the law???

It is against the law; most Touts do not have Work permits/pay SI/Taxes.
Every now and then the Police have a crack down, then they are left in peace to, what I would describe as, mislead people with their lies.

Every now and then there is a big fight between to the employees of the two Paphos Timeshare companies, when the 'minders' of one company attack the Touts of the other company. I would pay to have a spectator's ticket

It's the same in many 'holiday' countries and they are always a nightmare.

Tenerife is a joke! Worse than Cyprus.

You start out being civil but by the end of the holiday you just want to 'kill' when you see another smiley face with a clipboard approach!!!

you should see what happens in Ayia Napa during the evenings when people really drag you in the pub they work for offering 34 free drinks...

I have to admit they are a pain in the ar*e. I don't go to Paphos harbour anymore because they wind me up rotten. Last time I went they targetted this family with children and got one of the children to pull a card out of a box and told him he had won a prize,IF his parents would come to meeting for a couple of hours. Child was dreadfully upset when his parents who of course knew what was going on turned him down.
Dirty tricks if you ask me!!

Don't seem to see them in Limassol but I may have been lucky thats all.
