A statement was made that a muslim country never invaded a christian one.

We can agree that Turkey invaded....
We can agree that 80% of this country in 74 was christian

Call me crazy but I'm getting that feeling again...A muslim country DID invade a christian one.

okies

turkey on homosexuals

Military law

Turkish military law bans homosexuals from military service as a mental illness, and those homosexuals discovered to be gay in the armed forces will be discharged immediately. In reality however, the military has made it so difficult to prove homosexuality that most gay men do compulsory service.

[edit] Anti-discrimination law

No laws exist in Turkey that protect LGBT from discrimination in employment, education, housing, health care, public accommodations or credit.

[edit] Family law

Turkey does not recognise same-sex marriages, civil unions or domestic partnership benefits. The Turkish Council of State has ruled that homosexuals should not have custody of children.

on other islamic countries homosexual is considered as serious crime based on sharia and the punishment is the death penalty

LOL neither does America my friend, if you, as a gay person, are dying to do you military service in Turkey, then im sorry to say you might not be able to... and what are the MILITARY laws of UK and America on homosexuality exactly?

DT, you know as well as i do that as similar as it soudns the Cyprus case is nothing like what is being discussed here, now if you want to turn this thread into another endless "why has Turkey invaded Cyprus" debate then be my guest, but i think we can do that in 500 other threads already, dont you think?

--[color=blue][color=cyan]- u didnt answer me if u left cyprus once in ur life somewhere else??

its very normal that turkey doesnt accept homosexuality since it is not acceptd in islam. and i think it is not accepted in any religion even christianity..
and it is really an illness as many psychlogistsand doctors said but it is a tolerated phenomenon in many so called islamic countries like ,morocco, tunisia, jordon, syria.....
ur problem is that you judge without information my friend
