How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The day is getting closer, with every dumb action from Greek Cyprus the TRNC grows stronger.

The EU is fed up listening to your politicians moaning and winging ALL the time, as if the only problem in the world is the CyProb, well it isn’t!!!

It's technically impossible for the "TRNC" to ever become a legitimate state because it is built on condemned illegality and thus there are binding international UN decisions against it. The chances that the world will "undo" that which it has already stamped and approved with respect to the "TRNC" is next to zero but...

If the TCs are to ever have an independent territory (state) it will have no relation whatsoever with today's "TRNC". There will be a new name, border, constitution, leadership, etc. You can wish/pray for that if you like but don't waste your time with a corpse.

well said! Even Taiwan is not recognized. And don't hope to become like Taiwan either because if you were able for that then Turkey would be like Japan, but its not ;) And as Get Real! said most Arabs like us more than Turkey anyways so I don't think they would do such thing.

Zan has your couple of weeks off the forum attack your thought process???????? that'l be the day the RoC will attack the trnc, you have more turkish soldiers there than the population of the RoC as if that, will ever happen.

Paul, you have got me so wrong, the "I told you so" is for the turkish cypriots who will be brushed aside by the turkish governement and treat them like "Hamalides" in their own country.

Miltiades I hope that one day you will send me a message saying "I told you so" it takes more than illegl occupation to create a democratic State.

Turkish Cypriot daily VATAN newspaper (04.03.07) reports that a Russian website named Regnum, known for its proximity to the Armenian positions, has argued that the Arab world is preparing to recognize the TRNC, in North Cyprus.

Invoking a source who is expert on the Middle East politics, the above-mentioned site argued that the Arab countries will recognize The TRNC in March. It is also alleged that the American Foreign Secretariat is evaluating the recognition of the TRNC within the second half of this year.

Looks like some good news 4 a change!

PAul

And Paul will stop having sleepless nights and maybe start enjoying the GC property he bought at or given at a bargain price. Well post how much did it cost you to buy the property and offend so many people? And do you think that in the case of the Arabs recognising "trnc" the crime you committed is removed and forgotten? In your dreams little man, property rights continue to be valid and I hope one day you will find yourself in front of a court of justice. Your selfishness will return to haunt you during cold nights in a prison cell.
For the timebeing keep hoping for the Arabs to come to your rescue. Pathetic!

If you had any brain you would not make such comments and neither would you antagonise the majority of Cypriots with your stupid avatar but I know your type mate , you are only here for the beer , anyone's beer for that matter. Sleep well at nights , I hope.

Had it not been for the West's insatiable appetite for oil the Arabs would still be running around riding camels.

Been here before and nothing ever changes.

Realistically, no country is going to recognise the TRNC unless they see a major advantage to themselves for doing it. I can't think of a major advantage myself.

The recognition status quo is likely to remain, but the economic isolation of TRNC will gradually weaken (is gradually weakening) as RoC is too weak to enforce it and now has its hands tied by the EU.

Given the choice between political recognition and economic recognition I'd choose economic recognition every time.
