All I can say is I am a Turkish Cypriot through and through, like you not being able to prove you are a TC and not a GC posting fictitious information you have to take my word for it as I have to take yours.

And yes generally I do try to tell the truth with a little white lie every now and then just like all human beings.

I have offered to talk with you over the phone, at your time of choosing, when we're both on the forum, but you refused, because I would have picked up your Turkish accent in a second.

Just in case you did say yes, I did have several quotes from your posts to test you, if you were the same person, as the one who was writing, and that I was not talking to some "Joe blow".

Why is it so important for you to identify who I am and my ethnic origins, this obsession is very interesting as you are even willing to call me and you who have lived away from TCs and the TRNC for over 40 years is going to able to tell if I am from Turkey or not, please don't insult everyone intelligence, are you just playing one of your games/tests yet again?

The reasons are simple VP.

You have shown a great amount of disdain and animosity towards the GC's and have taken every chance to mock them, and those TC's, who see ourselves as Cypriots first, and Turkish or Greek Cypriots second, which you have not been able to do.

I feel very offended by some of your remarks be it be towards the GC's or some TC's when it comes to Cyprus. To you they are the "enemy", and as you said few days ago, that any insult levied against Turkey by the GC's, is an insult against you. I don't feel that way, as much as I like Turkey when I go there for holiday now and again, but for you, it seems the ultimate sin. Is it because you're a Turk, and that you get offended by these remarks, and so you then attack back, giving the impression, that you're a TC, which then creates a bad atmosphere between TC's and GC's. I would be very happy for you to make those attacks towards the GC's or TC's, but do it as a Turk, so we can all understand, where you're coming from.

VP, I will be able to pick on your accent in a second, whether you're a Turkish Cypriot or a Turk. My being away 40+ years from Cyprus, has not left me isolated from the world.

VP, I think you have given the game away. It would have been just as easy to say " I was born in Cyprus etc etc" but instead you chose to say that you are "Turkish Cypriot through and through" It may not seem important to you but when someone claims to be something he is not his opinions lose credibility. I don't want to know the intimate details of your past or your private life but I am curious, its a simple question - were you born in Cyprus or are you a fraud. I do not think that you thought this through properly because if you really understood what it would achieve you would not have bothered. This thread could go on for ever and a day and still you would have not got anymore than you know now.


I think you need to reassess what your intentions are here because I don’t believe they were to prove that VP is anything other than he says he is.

I have had this argument with my brother as to fighting with people about who they are and what they are. You can only take people at face value and if they say they are from a certain place then you have to talk to them as such. I agree that some people make it too easy to suspect their intentions and their identity but they are obvious to every one and no offence can be taken for pointing them out as part of a thread. But to open a new thread dedicated to this is a bit sad I am afraid.

Having said that I did do a similar thing to someone I will not name for hear of him coming back but that was not to question his identity but his motives and his accusations.

I will guard my identity as much as I can and I advise all to do the same because there is a couple ways this Cyprus thing can go and, more so for those living on the island, there can be repercussions either way at a later date. What the Internet has given all of us is a voice and, in my mind, revealing your identity will take some of that freedom away from you. There are people with violent intentions on both sides and sticking yourself up as a victim is stupid. I have documented evidence that harassment has occurred already but have no idea, though I can suspect, that violence has been carried out because that very intelligent GC poster does not post anywhere, that I can see, any more. I have been asked if I want to go for a drink with a few people and I have not admitted that the reason I will not meat them is because I believe that both the sides, in this conflict, are collecting information about every one of us that is posting. This part I have no doubt about , although no evidence.

I believe you should ask admin to delete this thread and lets get back to arguing the real problems. If VP informs you that he is a Martian, then you should respect that and talk to him as one if you have anything to say to him. You could always ignore him and say nothing. There are people that I am suspicious of on this forum but I have only accused one of them because of his different abilities in writing English but have not opened a thread dedicated to it.

With all due respect, nobody on this forum incites anything criminal, that can be used against by anyone, down the road, if we ever do have a settlement. All I ask, which is always the same, is to have a clear discussion and from what point of view are we coming from. If VP is from Turkey, where is the crime in that. But if he is from Turkey, and speaks as if he is a TC, then it changes his argument a lot, don't you think.

How does saying where you're born, gives away one's identity. Let's not start a fearmongering by believing, that we are all being "recorded". We are after all, discussing the Cyprus problems and how to solve them. Even if we were "recorded", we are no longer living in the Nazi era or the KGB.

Of course, we do still have the CIA.

The day people live in fear is the day that fear lives in them, and are not able to make changes to improve the world.

As I said, no body on this forum incites violence, other than name callings and insulting each other, and our leaders. Once in a while, one or two members have acted silly, but those were just silly comments.

I dont think VP is a Turkiyeli even if he was what difference would that make? I personally know a lot of TCs in Cyprus who think along the same lines as VP, not everyone is up for unification and its their right to express their opinion on here because thats what this forum is all about.

I think you're all trying to discredit him with your accusations but if you dont like what he has to say then just dont reply to his posts or ignore him..its not that difficult.

When Joanna was going off on one hardly any of you batted an eyelid, no one said anything about her hating of the Turkish people and she went to extremes with her hate. I dont think VP hates GC people, I just dont think he would feel comfortable living amongst them. Theres people on here who blatantly hate Turkish people and who judge all of them in the same light in worse ways then VP does the GCs but no one seems to be fazed by this at all. If you don't like Turkey being in Cyprus fine, but this doesn't mean that you can hate every single Turk because of it, and if thats fine then I dont really see the problem in VPs view either. It gets boring because everytime he says something then you all mock him and provoke him, then the whole topic changes direction and we get nowhere.

If I was trying to have my say and people were trying to discredit me I would become just as stubborn as VP gets sometimes.

First he was multiple people, then he was something else and now he's a Turkiyeli...
