Overnight stay in Nicosia.

Postby charliechoice » Sun Mar 04, 2007 1:30 pm

We are travelling to Cyprus very soon, and our intention is to stay at various locations throughout the week. We intend to stay in Nicosia for at least one night, could anyone please tell us which area would be best, we would like to experience as much of the capital as possible. Any recommended accomodation would be very much appreciated.

regards Phil.

Stay at the center at Holiday Inn. Then you can walk around the center and the old city without the need to drive :)

Try the CENTRUM Hotel in central nicosia....its just as close to all the tourist spots and probably half the price of the Holiday Inn and others in the area...

Casteli Hotel just down from Holiday Inn right next to Paphos Gate. Cheaper and it has Pago Pago restaurant. One of the best Polynesian restaurants I've ever been too :)

Try the Hammam in the old town. It has just been renovated back to its former glory. Saturday Men, Sunday women, Monday men etc etc. Hot rooms, cold rooms, steam rooms, body scrubs, very relaxing. The Nicosia Museum is very good. My mum went around it a few months ago and said it was extremely well laid out and informative.
