actually the reason why the pseudo-state is/will be receiving money is because the RoC is part of the EU and it represents the entire island. If the pseudo state was an actual state it wouldnt be part of the EU and it wouldnt be receiving any money.

Also, the reason why the RoC has no geographical control over the northern part is because it is illegally being occupied.

Finallly, Taiwan, Kashmir and Palestine are a COMPLETELY different ballgame. WHy you ask? Because in these situations the people of these territories are oppressed by a larger power (ie, China, India/Pakistan and Israel respectively). On the contrary, in Cyprus it is the legal entity that is oppressed (in terms of occupation) by a larger power (Turkey).

well to be fair though the oppressed people on the island are the turkish cypriots who have been suffering embargoes on their community since 1963...Oppressed by their larger in number Greek Cypriot neighbours for years. And then equivocal to the Palestinian cause, imagine if the Arabs were able to defeat Israel in the 6 day war...thats a kinda more accurate description of what happened in our eyes...Constantly calling us an illegal entity doesn't really make us want to trust you guys anymore does it...But hey if you repeat bs enough times you start to believe it...

Actually many states want to recognise thr TRNC but are either stopped by the E.U or waiting for this last push to see what will happen.
