You can try Karpaz or Trodos Mountains and i know somewhere between Protaras and Ayianapa but i dont know how its call. Its a Big Hotel on the hill with Greece or smilar and its nice place to have a barbaque. you shoudl carryon to drive where is Greece hotel (or smilar) and you will see a sandwich van then turn left and drive straight ,you will see a small church lookalike bulding. in that area. In Karpaz you have to drive up to Golden Beech but before 1 mile thay you have to stop and climb on the Hills.

I love to collect capers and ayrelli but most areas like petra (which has the best ayrelli and capers)is under army control and we cannot get there. When i was a kid we was put in coffeshop for auction to make some money.

Gav, the hotel is called 'The Grecian'. You will not find poppys at troodos mountains now as it's too cold and covered with snow. One must try at around 100 to 200 mtrs. above sea level. Alamino, Alethriko, Ayios Theodoros would be the best places, all these villages are around Larnaca. Best wait another 3 weeks.
There is this particular orchid which grows only in Alethriko area, nowhere else in the world. People from all round the world go there and start hunting the fields to take pictures.
