its seems to me that turkish and greek origins seems to have more roots in cyprus then it turkey or greece. there is no place in the world where education fails its own people as the case in cyprus. the greek speaking cypriots always trace their origins to greece and the turkish speeking cypriot always traces their origins to turkey..................................... i must be one the few cypriots who actualy traces my roots back to cyprus before greece and turkey got there. but then again the land of cyprus has been occupied at least 17 times by powerful invaders. i dont hear to many shouts for arabs or italians or english or the venisions ......................ohhhhhhh i know they were greeks and turks to after alll greek and turks are the only two nations in the world who had empires and they pillaged raped and murdered......................... is it i who lacks education. maybe the turkish and greek speaaking cypriots know something i dont know?????????

Look at Kikapu , Birkibrisly , Humanist and Miltiades as well as others too.You are not the only one or the minority.We , the True Cypriots , demand that the foreign elements , Greek and Turkish take into account that this island is first and foremost Cypriot . Blame the schools the churches too and the mosques for brainwashing our people.

i have read the link you sent and i have not found anything in there i did not know before.........................greece and turkey have been using this kind of tachtic to brainwash the cypriot community for years. they will print their books in greece and turkey writen in greece and turkey and they bring it to cyprus to educate the cypriots.and what do we have in the end divide and rule lies and more lies about the true cypriots who have nothing to do with greece or turkey. when the empire looses everything the empire will fight over crumbs to keep their importance in the world and cyprus is that crumbs...............where does it show in history any empire actively involed in war to win cyprus becouse they think it actualy belongs to them none at all......................they always give cyprus away to others for some kind of security of their own. all the invadors and occupiers have done this in the past..........the day we bar turkish and greek , books, flags, militery presence, diplomatic ties. the idea of the motherland. then cyprus will never have any peace in the next ten thousand years

what a shame that cyprus the land of love can be the land of soo much hate towards its own people by listening to greece and turkey

We could have been brain washed by our very first government of our very first true republic but we as TCs were pushed away and now we are Cypriots?????????

You can state anything you like as to what we should be but remember to look at the reality and see who we really are and what made us that way and for that matter, what is actually keeping us this way. Hit your finger with a hammer and deny the results without showing the pain on your face. There is so much denial all over the world that I sometimes feel like that boy in the story of the "Emperors clothes".
