A Pool About Annan Plan!

Postby PEACE » Sun Jan 18, 2004 5:51 pm

Another pool question here !

You know according to the Annan Plan there will be a federal government and two equal constituent states, the Greek Cypriot State and the Turkish Cypriot State. This two states will be sovereign in internal internal affairs .But in foreign affairs they have to work together.
Now the Question!

When an important decision have to be taken these two constituent states have to aggree on the decision! Than if Greek Cypriot state says "Yes" but Turkish Cypriot State says " No" then answer of the United Cyprus Republic will be "NO". Do you accept this equality?

 If i'm knowing something wrong about this subject please correct it and write your idea! Thanks!

I would say 'No', except for changes in the constitution. For that i think is right that both sides should agree to change it, otherwise it should remain as it is.

And for some other very important things also (like joining NATO, or going to war, and things like that)
