VP,

I would not do that to my worse enemy, so please relax.

What is it VP? Are you writting from Turkey pretending you are a TC living in Cyprus?

We could all be in the same position but I am not, I live here on the island.

This is exactly the opposite nonsense of those spread by the exapts. Meeting friends VP? While you spend 18 hours a day on your computer writting in this forum? Going to cinemas?? Eating at nice reastaurants???

Yeah right, once in a while, whereas most of the time the majority of the people are looking for a job either because there are not many jobs in Cyprus or when there are there is so much competition that minimises whatever you can make out of hard work and expensive investment.

So what was all that about invading your privacy?

Again this is another myth. The diaspora will buy the lacoste T-shirts for CYP 40 each. For some strange reason (no taxes-why??) they can be bought for only 10 at the occupied. This means the state does not collect taxes, someone else is paying for you -the mainland Turkish public. In the RoC controlled areas though, the Lacost T-Shirts are still sold for CYP 40.

This is just one example which backs up my theory that irrelevant of whether taxes are levied or not (which is another issue altogether) the goods are available which was not the case before, this provides the comfort that diaspora look for...satellite TVs, luxury cars, villas, brand names etc.

Oh come on Get Real, we're not that bad....

And as Snake_and_the_crane say's we care a lot about our homeland and have campaigned often against the occupation...and yes we do have our funny little accents but we try, often going to Greek School every Saturday (whilst our friends went dancing or to brownies) to learn our language to be able to communicate with our relatives in Cyprus and hold onto our culture as much possible but at the same time attempting to integrate with our fellow Brits successfully...Phew!! So it can be pretty tough to be a 'chaloua' sometimes, I tell you...

See what I mean about their accents? What the hell is a "Chaloua" ???

Don't you have anything else to say, other than motherland, motherland, motherland, motherland, motherland, motherland, ... how many times?
It's becoming an obsession.

Personally after reading 5-10 of your posts all with same content I stopped reading them anymore.
Sorry.
