Just heard tonight that the USS NIMITZ, the American aircraft carrier with around 100 planes on board is making it's way to the Persian Gulf and will arrive by next Thursday. Now, this is worrying news. And you guys think Cyprus has a problem? I wouldn't want to be in Iran right now.

Unfortunately it all has to do with money. If everyone was compensated for their loss, then there wouldn't be a problem.

I woudn't, but I know a hell of a lot of people who would. Aren't we selling our country to the Brits? After all the struggle for independance and all the lives lost. I feel ashamed.
BTW- I walked into a coffee shop in a village near Paphos and asked if there was any property for sale to purchase for myself as a holiday house. The answer was that there was absolutly nothing available. The next day an English couple went to the same coffee shop and were asking around for property, and guess what? Half the village wanted to sell their houses.

Actually carriers and other US warships have been building up there for weeks now. At the moment it's designed to intimidate Iran and Iran's response thus far was to demonstrate surface to sea missiles and sea "kamikaze" drones or something like that but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Iran is not Iraq btw so if the US foolishly goes for it there won't be a cakewalk. Iran could turn Israel into glass with only 2-3 ballistic heavy-payload missiles (striking the Dimona dam alone would devastate Israel) which it does possess having worked in conjunction with N.Korea on missile technology for years.

Personally, I don't think the US will go for it because Bush won't find the support he'll need for a strike and the repercussions could have WW3 results and the US is well aware of that.

I have a tenant iiranian and he told me its never possible USA attack IRAN because iran is very powerfull. about 20.000.000 suicade bombers waiting.
I m waiting when the bush will go because he is very dangerous for the world. !!!!

These ships are always in and out of the area. Nothing to worry about. The Roosevelt was here a few months ago on its way to the Gulf.

GAVCARoCOM you are right, Bush is real threat to world peace. Even his own people are finally seeing the reality of what this man is doing. Their slogan on a recent demonstration in Washington was BUSH LIED, THOUSANDS DIED..........
