The well know ex eoka Turk hater Papadop has awarded the Makarios medal to the French MP Patrick Deveciyan of Armenian origin and architect of the Armenian "Genocide" bill in France we all know and love which if passed will penalize anyone who dares deny there was a "genocide". I'm referring to us, this is just another provocation not only for TCs but Turks, any enemy of Turkey is also my enemy. If he claims to want to normalize relations with Turkey do you think this is the best way to go about things? If you cannot see through his anti-Turk politics then allow us not to be duped. I have no quarells with you, regarding PapaD's intentions, regarding Turkey, and I can hardly say, that it is not expected or surprised.

After all, Turkey does not recognise the RoC, so I don't know why PapaD would care what Turkey thinks about his actions. I suppose, since neither side does not show respect to the other, then anything seems to go.

However, I do have a problem with TC's taking this personally. It is rather a strong statement from someone who is not a Turk from Turkey, like yourself, to avenge anyone, who is a "enemy" of Turkey.

How far do you want to go back of being "Turkish". It seems the Partitionist want to go back as far as 300-400 years to make a connection with Turkey, but are unwilling to be Cypriots, on the land that has given them birth and cultured them in the same time period, to be unique in every way, than any Turks from Turkey. I do not deny to being "Turkish Cypriot" from Cyprus, but "Turkish from Turkey" we're not.

By the way, I do not hear any Turks from Turkey, living in Turkey, claiming to be "Turkish Cypriots". You would think, since we are all the same, they too would claim to be same as us, as some of us claim to be as same as them.

Lets not deny these facts Zan. We the Turkish Cypriots have more non Turkish Genes from Turkey in us than any other cultures, who have shared the island of Cyprus with us.

If someone insults my best friend then they insult me and are my enemy as well, do you get it? its called loyalty. What do you suggest we sit by like the GCs and say nothing just like the 1963-1974 period?
