Papadopoulos is just the last addition to the series of lame excuses to excuse the inexcusable, criminal and illegal occupation of the independent and sovereign Republic of Cyprus. As long as you occupy our land there will be a problem for us, and as long as there is a problem for us there will be a problem for you as well.

Gav, get a grip on yourself. The current president of Cyprus has nothing to do with Turkey's occupation of Cyprus, Turkeys violation of Human Rights, Turkey's strong 35,000 troops on Cyprus, mass importation of settlers whose fate Turkey does and has not considered prior to bringing them into Cyprus so if you are going to ask where is humanity what about showing humanity to the settlers who were mislead in their immigration to cyprus. I wonder if they would have chosen to come if they knew that one day the y may have to give up the house they are living in so the rightful owner could move back into it, if they knew that if there is solution to cyprus problem they may have to leave cyprus altogether, or has Turkey lied to them and said that is where you will stay indefinetely because we will own northern cyprus and you will forever stay there????????

The AP was nothing more than propaganda to get greek speaking cypriots to say no so that Turkey can have some liverage, It was an American plan to achieve what kisinger set out to do in 74.

We do not have problems with Turkish Cypriots, we have problem with Turkey occupying our country, we have a problem with Talats administration as we are not allowed into our own country and our homes are occupied by foreigners, we appreciate that turksih speaking cyriots have to live someowhere and to this end they do,.

Perhaps turkish cypriots need to blame Turkey for their fate and leave greek speaking cypriots alone. July 8th agreement has nothing to do wth papadopoulos, why have you not met your responsibilities in that respect?????? Neither has Papadopoulos, you keep finding excuses because at the end of the day turkey dictates what happens in cyprus and your leadership wants nothing but division at the end of the day the average turkish speaking cyriot suffers more than anyone.

Your friendly post? You said that there is no Cyprus Problem. So the violations of my human, legal and democratic rights is not a problem for you. You call that a friendly post?

And what I said is all facts and common sense.
1) Papadopoulos is just your latest excuse - why didn't you end the occupation the 28 years before him?
2) Your occupation of the northern part of Cyprus is illegal
3) If you act hostile against us in that way, then be sure hostility is the only thing you deserve in return.

I had proposed to you and I will again: Do you accept that ALL illegalities, and hostilities end? My only reason from being hostile to you is that you are hostile to me. So what exactly do you want? For us to treat you in a nice way, while at the same time you continue the crimes and the illegalities against us??????????????????

As far as the Annan plan goes, it was a partition plan that satisfied the 99% of the demands of Turkey and legalized the violations of our human, legal and democratic rights.

Here it is:
An end to your illegalities. Just stop committing crimes and illegalities, thats all we are asking. Is it so hard for the Turks to stop being criminals for a change?

the cypriots had their human right violted by greece and turkey and we arev still suffering in their hands not to mention britain and america. cyprus belongs to cypriots and as a cypriot i do not regognise greece or turkey as anything other then invaders and occupiers of cyprus and this is true today as it was in the writen history many epople think we are turks and greeks becouse we speak those languages the truth is we are not those people but they have brain washed the cypriot community so much that they actualy belive it. i say get rid of turkey and greece from cyprus and we will have abetter chance of harmony and peace.................................. what has turkey or greece ever done for cyprus ????????????????????????? apart from bringing us misery and suffering

free_cyprus, can you tell me how exactly Turkish Cypriots had their human rights violated by Greece? During the coup that lasted a whole 5 days, the coupists were killing Greek Cypriot resistance fighters and not TCs.

So please do not equate what Turkey did in Cyprus: occupation of 1/3rd of the island for 32 years, 6000 GCs dead, rapes of underage girls, ethnic cleansing of 200.000 people, with a coup that lasted a mere 5 days and it was nothing more than an excuse for Turkey to do all the above.

Greece for many years already is minding its own business and Cyprus is more a pain in their ass than anything else. They would be very glad to pick up everything and leave tomorrow if we asked them to.
On the contrary Turkey wants part of Cyprus for her own strategic reasons and they would do everything possible to keep the control of at least part of our island.
