self ditermination means self ditermination where has it got in the zuruch agreement where they left cyorus alone to determine their own future nowhere on that paper. everything that was agreed on was agreed between greece and turkey and britain who had a say in cyprus no one..................... if we are to be independent self determining island then, the first thing to go will be the greek and turkish connections to the island we can live in peace without them. what have they ever done for us for the good of cyprus people nothing not in history not in the present day. istead of them applogising to the people of cyprus for all the agro they coused us all the death they have coused to cyprus peoplee as a direct result of their actions they want us to bow our heads and say thank you...................................... when we win our independence from these two countries who have had proxy war on the land of cyprus for their own benefit by creating so much trouble for all cypriots and sufferings then they will be shown the red card mate lol

I see your point my friend. I believe what they gave us is independence not self determination.

I totally agree with you in fact I posted many times in this forum that the problems of Cyprus came because both Greece and Turkey wanted to get a piece of Cyprus.It was the Enosis Vs Taksim game in the 60s, the double Enosis plan in 1974, and the continuing effort to establish double Enosis until today through partition.As always everything went wrong and we the Cypriots pay.

There are many people in here who shout we shall become Cypriots above all.
I don't disagree in fact I wish this was feasible even at this stage. However it is not. What we really need is a SOLUTION that will enable us all become Cypriots above all.

not only that greece and turkey created this stuff about Enosis and Taksim before the fifties there was no such problems, there is a rumour in the thirties when the workers made a demonstration in nicosia and they burned down a goverment house and the papers reported that greek speeking people f the island wanted Enosis it was all lies people of cyprus were on the verge of starvetion due to the fact they were under paid and over worked. if cypriots are left alone there would be no problems at all its always been the outsiders who created problems for the cypriots. and unfortuantly soem cypriots are guilty of killing their own people regardless of if they spoke greek or turkish. this is true. further more its true they carried out orders on behalf of turkey and greece this is also true. hence to creat hate discontenment and an enemy on the island of cyprus where there was no enemy
