now i want to run for cyprus presidency can someone tell me am i eligable to run for office and if im eligable can you tell me to what side i should trun for office since i speak fluent greek and turkish

This one is a real easy problem to solve. Since the 1960 Constitution requires, that the President must be a Greek Cypriot, and the Vice President to be a Turkish Cypriot, you get to fill both the positions, all by your self. We the Cypriots will get 2 for 1 by having you holding 2 jobs.

On the plus side, you will more than likely, not veto yourself from one position to the other.

It will be more like " one hand washes the other".

free_cyprus thats very optimistic, some would say Utopian. We already have one Utopos running for president every time I think you need to develop your proposals a bit deeper than just that. And it is not just the Cyprus problem. What would be your policies in the socio-economic departments?

if im elected we will get rid of 1960 Constitution since it was drawn up by turkey greece and britain. we will have a Constitution that any cypriot regardless if they speek greek or turkish as long as they will do whatever it takes for the benefit of keeping cyprus harmony intact with all who live in cyprus. we will abolish all this nonsense about majority and minorety, there is no such thing we are all cypriots india has 1 billion people and only 30% of them speak the national language of hindu the other 70% speak more then ten difrent languages they can all call themselves indians and live happly why cant we do the same in cyprus

regarding socio-economic departments every cypriot will have the same rights as everyone else. to work to make money to loook after their family and so forth.evert cypriot benefits from the freedom to live peacefully in cyprus the law applies to everyone you break the law you pay the price.there will not be any favoritism.muslims will have the right to marry christians and visa verser

Well, for the time being, we need the 1960 Constitution, just to get you elected to both the positions, and then, you can discuss the situation with yourselves, and agree on dissolving the 1960 Constitution, and since you will not VETO it against yourselves, then we are home free.

Listen, you just get elected for right now, and leave the rest to me to draw up the plans to form a 2 states 1 country solution.
