I doubt that there will be a solution to the cyprus problem, there is about 250,000 people living in the occupied area of cyprus who do not want unification, so unless a fairy has a majick wand we ain't goin anywhere people.

There are two problems with that...

1. Talat would have to abandon the "TRNC" and that's highly unlikely.

2. Offering him the vice presidency would be going back to 1960 undemocratic arrangements where an 18% minority had 30% of the House of Representatives and veto power. Never again!

The way forward is democracy... one man one vote.

1. Talat would have more than the trnc, he'll be vice president of the United States of Cyprus or True Colours of Cyprus :)

2. Mate in a couple of years there wont be a decision made in cyprus it'll alll come from Brusels anyway, so we might as well unite and put this thing that happened for the last 33 years behind us.

I agree. One man vote in the RoC and one in the TRNC/KKTC.

Not quite right. The EU is a "club" where each member is entitled to a veto so anything Cyprus doesn't like can be vetoed... you'd better believe it.
