35,000 Euros for the 3rd child

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

whaaaaaaaa - how's that?

Haven't got a couch, just a pram, and believe me, it's much better than that closet you put me in for the last production.

Pyrpolizer,

40,000,000 divided by 35,000 = 1,143

Will 1,143 "newborns" a year, is going to make a dent, in the overall population numbers, to produce more tax payers every year.

Perhaps if this money was invested on events and social activities, between the sexes, then nature will take it's own course.

Perhaps single parenting should also be encouraged, if people do not want to get married, as the case is more and more, as 50% of most Westerners, are choosing to live with a partner, rather than getting married.

Sorry Kikapu. I should have mentioned that I refered to Cyprus Pounds. The amount is 20,000 CYP per child. The 3rd childs are estimated to be about 2000 per year. (current birth rate is only 8500 per year.

NB. We have more than 10,000 dead per year :!:

Btw the 20,000 CYP proposal is not only for the 3rd child. It's also for the 4th, 5th... etc.

Does it apply to TCs?

If it doesnt, i think it should, if the RoC is worried about the TCs being assimilated by the Turks, then its a good way to promote reproduction amongst them, to try and boost the numbers of the TCs, 5 kids and you have a brand new villa on the coast in Girne

I think its a great idea, i only have one so im way off but never mind good incentive for those with 2. Ive heared loads of ppl talking about this recently, and im quite surprised with the amount of women who are saying that there is no way they are going to have another one even if they are going to get paid so much by the government. Id planned to have more anyway, so it doesnt make much of a difference. And i think the government can afford it, i dont think they can afford not to do it, when you calculate that with so many ppl dieing and not enough being born, who will be working in the future to provide funds for social insurance.

Let's see the alarming rate of abortions over the next few months. People will hold out for the money

I thought they used to give a monthly allowance to people who had 4 or more children from a while back. If you think about it, it come s to less than that.
