If this is purely a GCmindset then why don't TC's take the offer of trading via the recognised ports of the ROC rather than than insisting on the north? Why do they sacrifice the national cause before economics?

You must be the only person who values selling out more than sticking to your beliefs for the good of your country (wthether rightly or wrongly).

If that was the TC mindset then you should abandon all prefferable solution methods and join us in the republic cause you'll all be rich from oil!!

Its the way of the world maybe the south is unique which I doubt very much as you mentioned yourself GCs adore money and money always seems to wins through for some reason.

The extremist is very clear here in this exercise as you have a GC businessman who refuses to do business with a counterpart only because the introduction was made by an organistion they feel promotes the TRNC. Find this diificult to believe somehow but of course you knwo GC mindset better thanme as you are a GC and I am a TC, thank you for reminding me.

As far as oil is concerned you can keep it when you find it...nothing to do with us...good luck.

The risk of having rotting/delayed goods left at port and at the mercy of GC administration is to high for any sane TC businessman. Of course there are hardliners who would never consider trading through Gc ports but the majority are very business minded but feel the risks and inconvenience of dealing with GC administration does not warrant the effort. If they can sell their good through TRNC ports at a higher price they are obviously preferring this root as it is under their direct control and if buyers are not complaining then no effort will be made to use the south.

VP you have no idea, what Greek Speaking Cypriots want..... they want freedom, yes freedom that the regime you are living by, has taken from them it has nothing to do with a piece of land but a lot to do with justice and human rights that is what the land has come to represent freedom.

in respone to the coment about how turkish cypriots are perceived, that is not the way Greek Cypriots on this forum view turkish cypriots, greek speaking cypriots have a beef with turkey and turkish troops, very few posts have indicated lack of desire from greek speaking cypriots to live with turkish cypriots, look at the votes for supporting turkish cypriots open business in the south and why not give the sugestion of doing exports/ imports from the RoC just give it a go and then shoot it down if it doesn't wotk, don't pre empt things without giving it a go. How do you know it wont work, or is it not in your personal interest that this does not happen? You don't need to answer me on the last coment, just answer to yourself. that is all is required.
