Bodies of up to 40 people found in Strovolos search for missing

THE REMAINS of up to 40 people have been found in the Parissinos area of Strovolos as excavators continue their search for the remains of Turkish Cypriots missing since the 1963 inter-communal troubles.
The find was made at a depth of 12 metres and an underground natural passageway has also been discovered.
Responding to the discovery, DISY President Nicos Anastasiades said: “This is a historical tragedy that we have not recognised until now due to the involvement of third parties.
