This doesn't really have anything to do with the people in question, but sometimes the best friend and the widow can get united in their grief, and end up starting a relationship together. I personally don't see that there is anything wrong with that, in principle.

And "get real", well i'm glad I'm not your best friend if all you would do is "pork" my wife should I die!
