Actually I would stay in Limassol. I absolutely love it here. Marvellous place with so much diversity.
Pissouri is ok if you like village life but it does get very busy Wed evenings during the summer when the square is taken over by tourists and the Bunch of Grapes isn't bad I suppose but thats about it. I would be bored within days I am afraid, or do you mean Pissouri jetty which is even more quiet.
Sorry, for me, Limassol wins hands down.[/quote]
And what about compared to Larnaca or Nicosia? Are they worth a few days stay if time is short?

Nicosia frightens the life out of me. I have been about three times and the traffic is horrendous and if you are not really sure where you are going its petrifying. Driving in Cyprus is a thing to be experienced but Nicosia is something else. Last time we went, we went three times round it, fell out, and came back to Limassol. Having said that its worth visiting for the experience and the museums if you get there early enough but I wouldn't stay there.
I quite like Larnaca. Its not so well developed as Limassol but has a nice beach and you can walk out eleventeen miles before you get water above your knees
Mackenzie Beach is good to visit with some pleasant tavernas. The flight path for the airport is directly over the beach though and you can get on nodding terms with the pilots!!
Limassol is in the centre though and if you stay there you can take a trip out to all other areas easily and within a relatively short space of time.
