Zan,
VP has given very positives of how life is in the "TRNC". The living standards are high, BMW cannot keep cars in the showrooms long enough to collect dust, flat screens are selling like hot cakes, designer clothes are everywhere, so where is the problem with the isolation, and the bad treatments that he is always stating. When he wants to portray life as being hard in the "TRNC" he lays it on really thick, but to show the RoC that the "TRNC" has moved on and does not want to re-unite, everything is Rosy.
I get my "leads" from VP actually. He is his worse enemy. He contradicts everything he writes, so then I come along and question on the things he has written. But it is the propaganda parts, that I question him mostly about. As you know, items written as propaganda does not need to be a lie or not truthful. It is, when written out of context or has been given a touch of "SPIN", that propagandizes it.
VP says he want a solution, but hardly ever talks about it, and that's my problem with him.
He would rather go for Partition. If most people in the "TRNC" want that, lets examine what is it, that they stand to lose, if there was a Unification, as suppose to a Partition
Can you provide a few examples of how and when I contradicted myself?
The 65% is proof that the tide after the referendum has firmly move in favor of a 2 state solution, this you have to accept, whether this tide can be influenced in the opposite direction is really up to GCs and the administration they elect, if they ant more of the same then they should keep the ex eoka man in power.
Although I am open to unificaiton I never hide the fact that we will never agree a plan that will take us there and that agreed partition is the best option. Lets discuss as you stated the pros and cons of both solutions.
