Brits say no to north direct flights

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I think the problem lies with the very recent past and what is happening now at a very accelerated rate in the TRNC/KKTC. There is transition going on and some are winning and some are losing. There is a lot of money floating around in the TRNC at the moment but it is money that is being generated fast. The problem lies with the infrastructure. For all this money that is being spent and made to have a long-term future and to be able to sustain an income for the foreseeable future there has to be infrastructure. There have to be crops that can be sold, there has to be a regular supply of tourists and we have to legitimately trade with other countries. What do you think you will see in ten years time if Turkey stopped giving all that money? We are under effective siege at the moment and are producing nothing. This is not a healthy situation so I think you have got the wrong end of the stick as to what VP is saying.

On the point of SPIN, yes he does but I have seen him discuss, for days with people about the right way for unification but it always ends up the same way and he is accused of wanting partition because he does not agree with the terms. TPapa has been playing that game for a long time now and it is getting to be a trick that the GCs play when we demand some of the power. You have to understand FULLY what they are asking of us. What they are saying is "we have made a nice little bed so why don't you come and lay with us. You can go where ever you want unless me and my brothers tell you different". DO YOU WANT TO PLAY?

Zan,

Thank you for your honest assessment of the "TRNC's" economic situation. I wrote a lengthy post today, regarding the huge money made from Gambling, Drugs and Prostitution, but lost it all, as my computer shut down, before I could post it.

I hate it, when that happens.

In essence, VP agrees to all this happening in the "TRNC" and suggest that the money is going to Turkey and not staying with us, to improve the economy, other than what Turkey sends us. This is no way to run a "country" as you have stated. We need to establish our own trades around the world, through our own ports, handling our own tourists, but non of this can be done, as long as we are not recognised, and if the USA starts sniffing Drugs and Money laundering and Prostitution, sanctioned by a state "TRNC", they will never recognise us, so the only option I see, where we can have our own state, and still be part of Cyprus, is the 2 states 1 country solution. Why not put our efforts into something like this for a solution, and have the GC's as our fellow citizens, most of them living in their states, but in the same Country of Cyprus. We will have our "mini partition" and still be part of Cyprus, where every one's human rights and properties restored. This will last much longer living with the GC's, than just break away and have Turkey "baby sit" us from now until eternity, because Sotos, Kifeas, Piratis, Miltiades, Pyropilizer and the rest of the GC gang here are not just going to go away, and forget about this. The first chance they get, there will be another "1963" all over again. I like to believe, that we have all learned our lessons for the past 44 years, and that we can all work for better future together, in a "New Cyprus".

What will be your conditions for this two state one country thing to work. We have been talking along those lines for years but the RoC has been squeezing us for more and more. What will be your final demand?

Hey miltida calm down boy calm down.

Pauul12 , don't be so bloody ridiculous man , one site is recognised as a legal government by all nations on earth apart from Turkey , it also has a property registry system that was put in place during the British administration of Cyprus. It does not sell properties that belong to T/Cs . The legal system is answerable to EU directives and not to an occupying army. There is no comparison between the enormous risks involved in purchasing property in the North and those involved in purchasing property in Cyprus. You are trying to comfort yourself , I presume you are a Brit who has bought property out there , that all is safe. Well it bloody well ain't safe mate, If I find out that my property has been sold to a Brit I will take him to court not only in Cyprus but also in the UK. So carry on having sleepless nights.

I was simply pointing out how selective you were with your posting, now you have been caught out you are trying to deflective your error by starting another argument, I will address your post:

I did not publish the web site for the UK government it is their for ALL to view, in your case the most relevant point being the warning to prospective purchasers to seek advice

Before purchasing property anywhere in Cyprus,

Now try and get that bit into what you have between your ears,

BEFORE PURCHASING ANYWHERE IN CYPRUS

I do not see any particular mention to The TRNC do you? so care to share with us why you tried to deceive everyone? No I thought not, loser

So you are going to court to recover your property, you must have a lot of money, I seem to recall Cherie’s fee was somewhere in the region of £200,000, considering your side lost and had to pay costs you will need an awful lot of money.

I would advise you to contact the Property Commission in the TRNC much cheaper on the pocket, and a lot more reliable.

by the way i sleep very well, thanks 4 asking

@VP

I conclude that you do NOT wish to give me the working hours of public servants in the occupied.
Hmmm... I wonder why?

I try and find my post from couple of weeks ago, which even VP and Pyrpolizer liked most of it, and it only took me 15 minutes to come up with this "simple " 2 state 1 country solution. In all honesty, I do not know all the details, as to what the GC's want. Perhaps you can list some of the main ones, and lets see, if I have already covered it.

I'll get back to you soon.

Listen cheapskate , the ROC has not been sued by anyone as yet claiming that their property has been sold. The UK F/O advice to prospective purchasers of land in the occupied part of Cyprus is BE WEARY. The fact that it mentioned "anywhere in Cyprus " is indicative of the diplomatic language used in such volatile political areas.
The Orams for your information have not won. Further legal activities are in process right now. You are a obviously from a lower class of Brits who could not afford to purchase kosher so you opted for the North not out of love for Cyprus and the Turkish flag that you display but out of economic necessity, or you are one of the many "wanted " on the run from British justice , a bit like the Costa Del Sol bunch of crooks. I still think you have sleepless sweaty nights .
