Brits say no to north direct flights

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby LENA » Sun Feb 25, 2007 12:38 am

Paaul12...I didnt bothered to be honest to read the whole thing as I should have done just a quick look ... but i notice that this one has published one year ago...can I ask you something? You was so fast to my post just 10 min after your last post ... what is going on with you Paul do you have all the articles that support your beloved TRNC saved in your computer??? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

Anyway as I said that was one year ago and pitsilos article is from this year...so I dont care about their claims in the past but now...because what effect the whole situation is present not the past...I am not going to stick on the past like most of the people here do...and in every chance the bring up facts from the past...anything else we have to sort it out???

TURKISH Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat has confirmed that Britain has official rejected his request for direct flights between Britain and the north. Britain informed Cyprus Turkish Airlines it is was not legally possible to launch direct flights to Tymbou (Ercan) airport. Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot side maintained there was no legal obstacle to such flights when the application was made to the UK authority late last year. Talat told Kibris newspaper that the ‘TRNC’ had launched a new legal process with the aid of a mediation office in the UK that specialised in such issues.

if the poms can't help, i guess thats the end for the road on direct flights to the occupied areas.

We dont give up that easy...there is no other alternative due to lack or progress so we will pursue what we feel is right and you can do the same.

I think I know what the "new legal" approach is going to be. I think the British will have a very difficult time to saying no to this.

I believe the Turkish Cypriot Airlines will purchase the 1947, Howard Hughes's "Spruce Goose" Sea Plane from the Evergreen Aviation Museum in Oregon, and use it to take off from the River Thames and land on water, by Girne / Kyrenia. Since there's no actual "land landing", direct flights will be granted.

Kikapu , I have made my mind up , I will not debate anything to do with Cyprus with an official of the "TRNC " it is pointless since It is a totaly futile exercise like discussing the merits blood transfusions with a Jehovah's Witness.
Here we all are putting up with what we all know it to be . A propaganta office run by the so called "VPs "I say to hell with the team of VPs , they are laughing at us for not realizing this when the avatar was changed to the current one showing a team of 4 !! We will learn nothing from this parrots on the contrary we are likely to be contaminated by their hateful approach to anything resembling a united Cyprus. I will personally IGNORE this team from now on and treat them with the contempt they deserve , they can all take a run and jump , i have had a bellyful of their consistent unconstructive anti Cypriot views.
Can I just ask if anyone knows of any of our T/C compatriots living in Cyprus and contributing to this forum ?

Unfortunately the ONLY TC living in Cyprus writing in this forum is VP. This creates a monopoly in my opinion, so I guess we have to be patient and wait until ADSL internet connection is made available to the TC masses.
There was another TC in the past living in Famagusta, similar views like Kikapu and Birkibrisli, his nick was sadik, but propably he was a student at the university, and after graduation ,lost his internet access.

Anyway, if any TC knows, I would like to learn the working hours of TC public servants as well as what time exactly they have a lunch brake. And whether these working hours are different in the private sector.

The reason I ask is because this can prove whether VP is a public servant or not.

VP you cannot prove me right or wrong because I have not yet stated you are a public servant or not. And to be honest with you, even the above statement of yours in which you say you ARE a public servant counts nothing for me.

Like I said I want to know the working hours of the public servants.
And the working hours of the private sector(in case they differ).

After I get that data I will let you know.

And btw VP did it just by accident pass through your mind that when I said I can prove whether you are working for the "government" or NOT, that I was actually trying to defend you?
