Shah..trust me i am. The govt is dealing with it in the correct way to make sure that this pesudostate will not be recognised and it seems to be working. 30 odd years and the world has largely ignored you.

You can visit his webpages at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bob.g7paf/1bg7paf.htm . Our fellow ham seems not able to understand that by transmitting with this callsign he is using his Radio Amateur License illegally. The Cyprus Amateur Radio Society has officially reported this incident to the FCC and OfCom and both authorities are prosecuting this person for misuse of his radio communications license.

I do apologise for digging this post up but felt i had to reply

I applied to the Greek Cypriot authorities for permission to operate from cyprus

They were happy to take my fee before informing me that operatiing from the Northern part of the island using a 5B callsign would attract the attention of the turkish controlling police.

So what do i do

I contact the authorities in the turkish side

I am asked to supply a copy of my UK licence along with a covering letter from my controlling body (OFCOM)

I also contacted the FCC regarding the Use of my US call (N9YGF) also the ARRL

Ofcom sent me a covering letter stating they saw no reason why i should not be allowed to operate and if there was any problem they could be contacted directley

The FCC said that providing i was in accordence with my licence and that the TRNC controlling body were happy i could use my US callsign

Now sir
I am a radio ham i have had in intrest in this hobby since being 11 years old

Race Religion Politics are not open for discussion (this is part of the licence regulations for radio hams all over the world )

I took a holiday
I took my radio to speak to like minded people

Now without bringing Race Religion or Politics give me one reason why i should not operate from TRNC

I still have all my equipment nothing was confiscated i did not go to prison
so dont make me out to be a criminal

The RSGB (radio society of great britan) did a small artical saying that any uk ham who operates from TRNC face losing there licence

The RSGB have no right to take a licence away that is the job of Ofcom

Ofcom not only said yes they invited trnc authorities to contact them with any problems

So what did i do wrong

TRNC asked me to supply the correct paper work
The greek authorities wanted me to pay and insisted i use a 5B callsign but it was my problem if i got arrested as they had no control over that area

So again without race religion or politics tell me why i was wrong

People who use the excuse 'without race, religion or politics' usually have no morals either. Its just a BS excuse to continue doing what you know is wrong, illegal and immoral.

Bugger off!
