Why has Talat not banned the sale of GC property/land?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

To develop like other countries ??? What other countries do you know that resemble a part of Cyprus under foreign occupation. Wake up and stop dreaming, Cyprus is ONE COUNTRY. The part , that only you recognise , is the occupied part of Cyprus , you do really talk a load of bollocks. But then that is what you are paid to do .

Why do you not address the whole post and not isolate just one area, the fact that we cannot unite is not one sided when you realize this? dont forget the last attempt was resounding rejected by your side.

C'mon guys, I reckon if we keep things civilised we get a lot more out of these threads....VP - I think the building boom is another nail in the coffin. With all the settlers bought in changing the irreversibly changing the demographic of Cyprus, the selling and building of GC land and property, the bargaining chip of Famagusta - it's a very painful thing, and these things are used in conjunction with the power of Turkey to bring the GCs to their knees and accept some kind of partition. What kind of a solution is that. The perfect solution for the TCs?

Edit: uh oh, i'm veering off topic, damn it's so easy  :P

Good point, but without any solution in sight what do you expect us to there are enough emabrgoes on the north so economic development will find ways to surface and the GC properties are used to stimulate an economy which could so easily be supported by positive moves by the south to allow direct flights redirecting the economy towards tourism rather than construction. But with no hint of solution life goes on and needs change even TCs have started to sell to developers as after the referendum they do not feel a slution can ever be found hence the 65% wanting a 2 state solution as the only real option.

I would be in favour of allowing direct flight to northern Cyprus in exchange for a 100% cease in all construction on GC land and sale of GC property plus the return of varosha to it's former inhabitants and the ROC.

I am against direct flights at the moment because all I can see happening is more and more illegal construction and further cementing of partition.

well then you better hurry up and find a solution dont you think  or soon the TRNC will be flooded with pikie brits who are enjoying their brand new cheap villas on the coasts of the TRNC

i don't understand what the fuck do the GCs expect the TCs do in order to get on with their lives?!?

NOTHING!!

either leave the island or suffer the consequences, well some of us are not leaving and are not going to suffer either, while you guys sit there say NO to the one opportunity we had for a solution because "it doesn't serve the Greek interests" and still bitch about your lands and your homes while we have to live under isolation....

Might just be something that can be agreed, direct trade flights etc for the return of GCs property via the ECHR authorized property commission.

miltiades you are an arsehole and im seriously trying to ignore your ancient and extremely lame views by telling myself that you are just an old and bitter fool, but you make it impossible by throwing direct insults at me and my country, so i suggest we should just ignore each other since this forum has no "ignore" option...

what the hell did you ancestors do, build the entire fuckin island?!?! you took it from other people and if thats what you call work then im sorry but so have the ottomans "worked" for this island and we are here to stay, right my fellow cypriot? ;)

Yes, Gc have to apply to the commission, 11 cases have been settled and more on the way.
