Why has Talat not banned the sale of GC property/land?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The ground has been destroyed?

As for the houses sorry for not granting them for free to settlers and foreigners.
Sorry for not selling them for peanuts to the British and the Israelis.

I know there's a lot of things that Tpap could be doing also, but this thread isn't about Tpap, this is about Talat and the sale of GC land and property.

well dont you think its all relative and reciprocal?

i think it would be very wrong to only discuss one side, and expect to get a constructive debate, which i believe is what you are after, unless im wrong and you just want to hear how horrible the TRNC and Turks are in general...

No it is not relative. You got 5 times more land than what you left behind. And the total of land you left behind does not wotth not even 1/10th of what you grabbed to in your effort to "be saved" from the evil GCs.

In the village of Kato Arodes many TC houses have been renovated. My understanding is that people were given a grant to do this and will receive some compensation if and when a solution happens, and the property will be given back to the TC who lived in it before? Is this correct? Anyway, let's try and keep this civilised - is it possible???

" Under these circumstances it is most inappropriate for the Greek Cypriot administration to put obstacles before the Greek Cypriots owners who wish to settle their problems by resorting to the local commission now available for this purpose. This stance of the Greek Cypriots administration, which has destroyed most of the Turkish Cypriot properties in the South and/or compulsorily acquired them, is tantamount to saying that the South is now closed to Turkish Cypriot owners, but Greek Cypriot owners are entitled to their properties in the North."

You could always go a have a chat with The Property Commission in the TRNC as approved by the ECHR, but then you would be considered a” traitor” by your fellow countrymen, how sad!

Just sit back relax, I am sure your illustrious leaders will lead you towards a solution one day, how long has it been now, what's another 30,40, 50 years you will get there in the end, I’m sure, just keep the faith!

Remind me who was it who removed the bridge from Ledra Street????

Might is right eh paaul12. Appropriation of property in this manner is illegal in international law, so is replacing the population with settlers. People who "buy" GC land in north Cyprus are interfering cheapskate opportunists. Just stop and think for one minute - how would you feel if you were kicked out of your property and it was "sold" to someone else.

Paaul, I would like to ask you two questions:-

1) Do you live in Cyprus?

2) Do you live on stolen land?

jerry

1) why

2) why

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

It is more important that the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.

The remarkable thing is - we have a choice every day of our lives regarding the attitude we embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.

I’m convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you.

We are in charge of our attitudes.

Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until nightfall.

Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day.

Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all life really means
